The simple fact that you made this story reflects that you do still care about him on some level and are maybe not over him as much as you profess.
In particular, your expression of regret (an intense emotion) and wanting to cry when you think about your intimate moments together. Breaking up is not necessarily a "mutual" act either just because both people end up agreeing to it in the end; the person who "initiates" it is still essentially *dumping* the other.
Cutting someone out is akin to "burning your bridges." Are you sure that's what you want? Do you think he'd want that of you?
To me, it sounds like you want to delete him from your Facebook because you're still a bit hurt. But it is fine to feel that way, just don't kid yourself about why you're doing it. :)
