I'd say wanting to rip out chunks of flesh is not normal. I enjoy biting my boyfriend - this is a common fetish - but for me, it's not a sexual thing, just something pleasing about getting something soft and resistant in your mouth and biting down. That may be part of what I assume is an oral fixation on my part, though.
