  • I must say it has it's advantages.
Most of which turn in disadvantages due to,well,a bunch of things. I read a book recently, written by somebody who went himself through the onset of schizophrenia, he believes that at some extent the natural lack of self centered thinking ability characteristic of many schizophrenic people could almost be considered some sort of super insights. The most dangerous stereotype about schizophrenics is the one wanting them dumb and uncapable of thinking, when in reality, they can reach levels of preparation about specific subjects rather quickly, and reach unexpected conclusions to which not even the brightest sane scientist would think about. Not to mention the potential high level of creativity they often display. The author of the book, thought schizophrenics tended to become dangerous to themselves and others only when misguided. Very interesting reading indeed. The title is: schizophrenia the positive perspective. in search of dignity for schizophrenic people.
