    to be honest, i still have no idea what PDA means, i just "assumed" a meaning from the context of the story.

      I too used to think that it meant Personal Data Assistant, even when used in this context. My thought 2 years ago would have been "Just buy the damned thing yourself, I don't understand what this has to do with electronics".
