Yeah I totally get it, it's not about being abused and beaten up every 5 minutes. It's about giving yourself to him completely just as women did in years gone by. It's about the security of knowing your place in the relationship and having your man in control. If he beats you because you burnt the dinner that's ok, because you will learn to do it better next time. If he decides he wants to have sex, or for you to give him a blow job, or whatever, you do it because you are his and you love him and your purpose in life is to please him. You want him to love you back and protect you from others and treat you well, but you want him to do that because he chooses to, because you try to please him, not because he has to. You don't actually want him to kill you but you want him to be man enough that he could if he chose to. I'm the same, I have my own mind and my own thoughts about things and I share my opinions with my husband. But we both know he will make the final decision about things and if I don't like it I will learn to live with it. My husband never cooks, cleans, does the laundry or anything else in the house, he says it's women's work but if I need help I can ask for it. I have never asked, I agree it should be my job and I work hard to keep the house to a high standard because that's what he wants.
