It's ok to not fear death. It's ok to hope for a martyr's death. If you're wishing for death, that may not be a sin, but it's a sign of depression. I'm a Christian, and I was in that state for a while, and therapy and medication helped a lot.
Remember the parable of the talents. God has given you specific gifts, and it's your duty to use them well. The servant who got in trouble was the one who tried to return the talents rather than do something with them.
