Your totalitarianism idea is quite good (and has been done before - Hitler comes to mind, and religion) But the problem is people are human and they prefer to save others (hence capital punishment frowned upon).
Humans 'normally' don't like killing other people, they normally like saving them.

I'm all for the death sentence, but this is way too far.

The problem is: that currently the 'police' and other people in a position of so-called 'authority', have become very corrupt, and hence have become 'criminals'.
They incited many people, who are currently in prison, to commit various crimes, but these 'crimes' probably benefitted society. But the problem is: that the prison system can and does corrupt people, who might have otherwise had led a fairly 'normal' life.

We need to do away with this archaic penal system. There are other criminal-justice systems that are far more effective, and less corruptable. We need to transform towards a rewards-based system, that has been proven to be far more effective in controlling aberrant behaviours. Why do we stubbornly cling on to this ineffective system?

Every prisoner should be treated fairly and ethically on a case-by-case basis, I think.

I think if you decide to put someone to death it should be done in the courtroom, just blow his head off right there in front of the judge and jury, if you're so much better than someone that you can judge if they deserve to die, you shouldn't have any problem being a part of it. Plus, it would save millions on feeding clothing and housing a walking dead man for years.

The problem is, who judges. Then who pulls the trigger. Killing murderers and rapists, sure. But what if they are innocent. If there is irrefutable proof such as twenty eye witnesses, clear video, and DNA evidence. Proof beyond a shadow of a doubt then sure. But how would you feel if you where put on death row by mistake? Evidence unclear, tampered or missing. Corrupt police, judges, lawyers, jurors, witnesses. To bad. Time to die. I would feel more comfortable with incarceration since their is still a chance for redemption. You know that second chance thing.

And I would also like to note you said you would like to burn them to death. This makes me think you are still very young. Because burning people is a horrible thing that if you had ever witnessed you would not have said that.

They shouldn't all die, but it would be really great if they were ALL locked up until they (somehow) became good citizens. That would leave the rest of us to live our lives in peace and freedom and not even have to lock our doors at night.

No. People fuck up and make bad choices sometimes. They shouldn't die over it. Most people have done something they could go to jail for if caught.

I'm talking about murderers/rapists/drug dealers etc...I mean dangerous or violent criminals.
