Is it normal that i want a sex buddy instead of a partner?

I'm a single 20-yr-old female virgin and I would like someone (male or female) to have sex with me every now and then (but without the hassle and difficulties of a relationship/marriage). Don't worry, I already know about protecting myself from STDs and pregnancy. IIN?

Is It Normal?

  • Friends with benefits type relationships are always good at first, but then someone always starts to get attached and someone usually ends up getting their feelings hurt whether they admit it or not.

    • I've had one of those relationships, for us it didn't end that way. It ended with me rage-quitting when I understood that my wishes and limits weren't respected, and mind you I have very few limits.

  • And until this I thought I was alone. I'm 20 years old girl and a virgin (yes by choice), and I want to cure my curiosity and try something new. I want someone who isn't afraid to try something without the relationship thing. Just being friends, and being cool. I'd love that!

  • I'm pretty sure there's a section on Craigslist for that.

  • the trick is... having partners who truly understand you aren't in it for anything but friendship and sex.

cos sometimes, even if a partner agrees it's just about the sex, sometimes it turns out their hearts weren't on the same page.

  • i think things like marrige/ relationships are something we people made up and are'nt necessary for procreation or just a desire for some good sex every now and then.

  • It's normal. I had a sex buddy for some times a few years ago and when I met my actual boyfriend I called him and told him that I could no longer come to see him because I think that I have met someone cool who could become my boyfriend. Everything was so cool..

  • It's normal. Love and relationships are an overrated trend.

  • I've had a on-going fwb before and it was awesome. I hate traditional relationships because of the emotional baggage it comes with so this was perfect for me.
