Yes it's normal it's just a crush... Stay his friend in time you'll get better... I've been there before its hard but it's better just to focus on you and your life... Once u ignore them but still remain friends it makes a difference for you and for them you'll see... I've had my crush for almost two years still nothing but I'm over it.... I know that what I felt for him was just something special...you will meet ppl in life like this it's called a true friendship with a man
