During the height of the Roman empire, between 10 and 15 percent of those living in it were slaves. Maybe that's part of its appeal to the OP, since in the mid 19th century, around 40% of the population of Russia were serfs (slaves in all but name).
Nothing til you're one of the slaves. People who pine for these kinds of authoritarian regimes like to imagine they'd be part of the minority that benefits from that kind of situation

What’s wrong with that? Actually I don’t think these numbers are accurate ( and I mean that there were more slaves in the roman empire)
