You need more than the fact that you and everyone you know smokes it to justify it being legal. Try this:
-our prisons are overflowing with pacifist marijuana smokers who have been caught with simple possession. It costs taxpayers $66.75 a day to keep them there.
-Marijuana is the least harmful of all "drugs" out there. It is far less harmful than nicotine and alcohol. Nicotine and alcohol has a recorded death total of hundreds of thousands each year. Marijuana has not caused a single death by itself in all of recorded history.
-The government has been lying about marijuana for years. It all started as a way to keep mexicans out of the country.
-The war on drugs is mostly a war on marijuana, with the majority of arrests for illegal possession being for marijuana. This "war" costs Americans untold millions of dollars each year.
-If marijuana were legalized and taxed, it would bring in millions of dollars each year in revenue.
-Marijuana has many medical qualities, such as pain treatment and cancer relief.
-Marijuana is largely unaddictive. It can be remotely psychologically addictive, but withdraw effects are minor and les troublesome than a hangover from alcohol.
-Marijuana is readily available in all high schools and middle schools to children. If it were legalized, there would be less underage consumption. How do I know this? Consider how hard it is to get a good alcohol contact as a teen.
-Marijuana has many of other uses. It's hemp can be used for paper and rope, as well as reportedly hundreds of other commercial products.
America needs to wake up to the truth. I dont smoke marijuana, nor do I condone doing so. But the facts speak for themselves.
exactly. if they made it legal the jails wouldnt be packed ad there would be alot less alcohol use because people can smoke. There wouldnt be a bunch of drunk ass holes around. Just high peaceful people. if someones drunk and someone starts something with them they will most likely fight. now if your high, there probably just gonna be like chill out.
