So pretty much I masturbate. But I am a very strong Catholic/Christian and I honestly think it's a sin. Is it normal that I do? Is it EVEN? I would preferably appreciate an answer from an actual Christian or someone who respects my religion. I can't help but do it sometimes, and I really am disappointed in myself after. feedback?
On the subject if religion: I used to be a Christian and I'm not now. I won't bash you for your views, though:)
Health wise studies say that it's quite healthy to do so. I don't understand why they say it's a sin. What you like/do in private is your business, isn't it? That is as long as others don't get harmed as a result of it, but I fail to see how this could harm someone...
You don't have to let others know you do it and if someone does finds out, then it really isn't any of their concerns. I'm willing to bet you that there are allot of catholics/other sects out there that love to masturbate. Some are probably ashamed of it too while some probably aren't.
My point is: don't stop doing what you love because you are scared of what others think. I've been doing that practically my whole life and it's not fun to live a lie. Just follow your heart and if people say otherwise, then ignore them. Remember, to always love yourself:)
i am a catholic. it is obviousley a sin. what were you thinking. anyone who thinks its not is going to hell 100%. i used to do it but i got so guilty that i stabbed myself in the leg for doing so. now i dont do it. maby all you need is a little cut.
Food is important, people must rest, and pride gives self worth. All deadly sins are only sinful in excess. Unless your a chronic masturbator or something you're fine.
I'm a Christian woman and I masturbate. I see nothing wrong with it because it is one of the natural desires that God gave us:) Masturbation doesn't hurt us or anyone else so I do not see it as a problem, though I've never talked to a spiritual advisor about it.
Masturbation is NOT a sin, there are millions of actions that could be considered as a "sin" (such as "molesting young little boys", for example) but definitely not masturbation... :)

There's nothing wrong with masturbation and it's not sinful. If it was, all of the people who've ever done it would have the wrath of God upon them already and they don't have, so don't feel guilty.
I respect your beliefs but choose for yourself what you want to believe, don't let it be dictated to you.

i'm not a very religious person but much of my family is catholic and i do respect religious folk. honestly i don't think it's anything to be disappointed about because it really has nothing to do with offended anyone or going against the ways of god. it's just an act of human nature.
