Spiders are adorable! I try to pat them sometimes but they always run away. Some are freaky looking though, I tell those ones to fuck off (they usually seem to understand). It's pretty normal (in Australia) to have some "pet" huntsmans around the house. They are very friendly and sometimes like to play. Unfortunately my cats keep eating them one leg at a time...
