I have a funny spider story.
When I lived in Oklahoma one of my roommates found a black widow spider and kept it in a jar on his desk.
The guy he shared the room with was concerned of it escaping and to him he "didn't want it in the house".
One day, while they were both at work, I took the jar and threw the spider out into the woods. Then I put the jar back with the lid tilted to the side.
When they came back home they got in a huge argument about "I told you it was going to fucking escape!"
He had trouble sleeping for a while and even once complained that he "saw it on the celling" even though I knew it was far away.
Is it normal that i think spiders are cute?
