Is it normal that i think most jokers are just disrespectful?

I think having a sense of humour is very important but not all people should be making jokes, some are just not cut out to. Well I'm not saying there should only be one jester per city, but most of 'em are not showing any respect and then they say "hey, I was joking, nothing personal" . Why should I respect buffoons, cause they're funny?

Is It Normal?

  • The only "jokers" that are actually creative purposely feed off of peoples rage through what some may consider personal attacks. George Carlin, Bill Hicks, Doug Stanhope are all comedians that used controversial subjects that many found offensive as part of their act. You should respect every human being unless you have a actual reason not to. Grow a thicker skin and lighten up, maturity is rolling with the punches.

  • My dad makes fun of people all the time, and cracks quick witted funny one liners. I get it from him and i mean these are jokes that you would say to another person behind someones back. i can't help it cause I grew up hearing him say stuff like that. I wish I didn't do it, but I cant help it.

  • If regular people cracked jokes of the same caliber as Hick, Carlin and Stanhope I really doubt the original poster would find it annoying. He's probably referring to people that are more obnoxious than funny, basically lacking any wit and just insulting people thinking it's "edgy" or something. If that's the case I couldn't agree more with the OP, please do make fun of me or controversial subject, but do it in a creative way.

  • I'd agree with your statment but there is a phrase that holds too true to me. "either everything is funny or nothing is funny"
