If the world were more accepting of the idea that people are just people, and that our sexual preferences really don't make a difference, then the world would be a different place. I could go on and on, speculating what could be, if only people thought differently, but we don't. The world is so full of ugliness, and hatred, that smiling at someone can be mistaken as an attempt to steal a child. For crying out loud people, get a grip. If you didn't know anything about people's sexual preferences, and it was something that was embraced and openly discussed and not looked down upon, how would my 10 year old son know the word Faggot? and when you ask him what it means he says, " A man who has sex in the butt with another man." He is 10, and learned this at church. He told me that it's bad, and it's wrong, and that men who do that are going to hell. I did not teach him those things, I am only the step-mom. He learned that at his Church, that he attends with his biological mother and step-father. What are we doing to our children? Why would we teach them such a horrible thing. Who cares who other people love. Seriously.
