Is it normal that i think i am obese!?

Well I have struggled with my weight a lot in the past. At my heaviest I weighed 170lbs at the height of 5'3. I know it's terrible right? Well after that I got taller and now I am 5'5 and I lost a lot of weight and I weigh 123lbs. I still think I am fat, maybe I'm traumatized because I was picked on a lot.. People tell me I'm thin but I'm very self conscious. How can I get over that and be confident with my body?

  • Even if you were overweight, it shouldn't matter to anyone except you. As it is, you seem a very average, healthy weight to me. Try not to worry too much about this.

  • Oh, and to gain confidence, do something for yourself. Set a goal to make healthy choices and treat yourself to a day at the spa, or have a nice long bubble bath, light some candles. Set a goal( for example) to walk a certain distance or go to a yoga or fitness class some time. I don't know what you like to do or anything, just telling you what helps me :)

  • A lot of girls feel this way. I used to weigh a lot but now I'm at a good weight, but still feel fat. It's just a self conscious thing, you have to constantly tell yourself that you look fine, even when you still feel chubby!

  • absolutely not fat! youre just used to being overweight and now youre just selfconscious. this is totally normal, but keep in mind that exercising and eating healthy arent just for overweight people. to maintain this weight, keep exercising and eating right like you obviously have
    been.

  • It depends. Do you work out? Cuz muscle weight more than fat you know? Also, just because you're a certain weight doesn't mean you're fat. I'm 5.7 and 150 but I run almost everyday and work out. Also depends on your age and lifestyle. All in all, ur not fat. And really, not that heavy either :p
