It depends how it’s done, if you’re marketing an “authentic” war game which focusses on a set time period for instance both world wars, then it’s ridiculous to have a female protagonist unless it fits into the setting eg a potential Russian sniper or a rebel, however I don’t mind female protagonists like Lara Croft or arguably some of the characters from Gears of war, I mean Anya and Sam aren’t exactly protagonists but they don’t ruin it for me
