I don't really mind strong female characters in games as long as the game is good. The problem with a lot of feminists is that they don't understand that most people who play video games don't care about the gender of the protagonist as long as it's a fun game. I've been playing video games since I was about 5 years old ( when I say that I mean rated M games not child educational games, my mom was awesome) and I never once looked at a game and said I wasn't going to play it just because it had a female protagonist. One of my favorite games growing up was Beyond Good and Evil and that had a female protagonist. I care much more about whether or not a game has a good story and/or gameplay mechanics than I do about whether or not the person I play as is male or female.
