    No. If they are mentally sound then they should not be sterilized. However, something certainly needs to be done about the obesity crisis or swimmers will start getting harpooned at the beach.

      Surely you're not implying that people who aren't "mentally sound" should be sterilized? You do realise that's how Hitler's extermination program started?

        If the mental condition can be genetically inherited, then it would be a wise decision to make. Also, would you want a mentally insane person raising a child?
