  • I was bullied all through high school. I never went to dances or had friends or a boyfriend. But when people are getting bullied there’s usually a reason for it and they just have to learn to sort out whatever weird thing they’re doing that attracts bullies.

    • That's true, but occasionally it can be a minor event that occurred in childhood, that has since been recified, but assholes don't let go of.

Or perhaps a person is just ugly by highschool standard and they can't change that.

I seriously don't know why you are upset with anti bullying campaigns because the only argument you made is that it's the person who is being bullieds fault. Not true.

Your statement "let natural selection take it's course", shows how heartless you really are.

If you'd argued that zero tollerence can destroy lives then I would agree. Most people bully and get bullied in order to learn.

The fact that you are victim blaming means you have some different agenda.

People commit suicide because they can't tolerate the present. Not because they can't rationally see something changing at an indeterminate time in the future. But because they can't handle waiting for that time to come.

      • But most of the time it is the victims fault. For example, I was bullied because I was shy and a pushover. I learned to not be and the bullying stopped. If we continue to punish strength and reward weakness then the next generation will grow up weak.

        • It is NEVER the victim's fault!

        • When was the last time you saw a bully pick on someone stronger than themselves, to prove how great they were?

It's not punishing strength it's punishing cowards.

People who never grow out of being bullies, usually always fail at life, because they never push themselves against greater opponents, and rarely suceed after high school.

You can't speed up natural selection. Just ask Hitler.

        • How the fuck was it your fault that you weren't socially outgoing and an obnoxiously assertive asshole?

That was the person you were. The cretinous mob passed judgement and found you wanting, so all the insecure, self-hating dickheads decided to unload their frustrations and anxieties about who _they_ were on you -- that year's chosen scapegoat.

You may want to believe that the experience didn't affect you negatively, but what happened is that you accepted the collective idiocy of the mob, changed your behaviour to fit in with crowd, and now you're saying that anyone who can't cope with bullies should be tossed to the wolves.

    • Yeah, you're right that there's always a reason for it: the reason is that some people are bullies and can sense other people's vulnerabilities. There's no valid reason or excuse for bullying, not ever and you sound like you're either an apologist for bullies or a bully yourself
