Is it normal that i think about my teacher in a romantic way?

I have never had a boyfriend and I really WOULD like one, or someone I could have an affectionate close relation with. And in spanish class, i cant help but have romantic thoughts about him and it makes me feel uncomfortable and creeps me out. I'm in high school, and he's in his late 40s which makes it all the more weird. I don't like this!

    I know what you mean XD only my teacher was in his 50s...a dang good looking, intelligent, wise, and nice 55 year old teacher too. I think when you just see someone with traits you like, ago goes to the back-burner.

    I had a crush on one of amy teachers once. she wasnt much older thasn me though, she was 24. was always real nice.

    lawlz ok these comments have sort of put things in perspective, like that im freakin out bout nothing really. and he is NOT someone who i would call good looking either, and im totally open about thinking older guys as attractive- it's not something im against.

    it's called infatuation.

    it's probably because he's in an authoritative position over you.

    also just because someone is in their late 40s doesn't mean they aren't attractive... which may be why it bothers you... if you mentally associate "older" with "uglier" while your body is responding to someone who's not really ugly at all...

    i'd say just work out your frustrations solo and eventually you'll outgrow them.

    either that or... if he's single... after you graduate see if he's up for some young loving... and if he's really a good linguist...
