Is it normal that i think a lot. way more than my peers?

Okay, so I'm pretty young and I think about a lot. Sometimes I feel I think too much. I usually think about really deep things but when I share them with my friends they say the things I say are stupid. Personally I think it just goes over their head. Like for instance right now it's been pitch dark for two hours since midnight and I've just been thinking about life. I've even set up a twitter so I could share my thoughts with the world @ithinktooreal

That's a good thing. I am the same way. Just don't sit around thinking all day, DO something with your ideas and thoughts.

I dunno. If you thought as much as you seem to think you do, I think you'd also be able to think of something to say that would seem insightful too your peers. There's nothing more boring than a person who tells you they are smart but can't back it up by saying anything interesting.

You also have to consider that maybe your friends think what you're saying is lame because they've already thought about and finished with the things you're going over with them. Looking at your twitter...I don't really see anything that new or insightful.

And it's also kind of arrogant to assume that you think "more" than they do. You're not in their heads, so there's no way you can know that. What you're saying doesn't even make any sense. People don't ever stop thinking. Unless you're older than all of your friends or one of them has a brain injury, it's not physically possible for you to have thought "more" than any of them.

Maybe you think too much of yourself, or the situation (I'll give you credit, you said it). But maybe it's like, verbose, you know? Maybe, out of all these people, you are not the only person with 'real thought'. I know you didn't say you were the only one, but let what I'm saying touch base. We all generalize, label, and differentiate from other people, it's an instinctual trait that has helped humans for a long long time. We can never know what it's like to be someone else. We will always be stuck in our own heads, see? Ever heard of solipsism? Theory or philosophy that only our minds exist. Really, the only thing I know for sure is that I am thinking this website into being, and all of the details associated with it. Anything I come in contact with, I can only prove that I know it, and that nothing but myself exists, follow? Our egos build this thought in us, we can't be anyone else, so they must not be us, and following with, they must not have our qualities. As single beings, I believe we know nothing, and the differences we have in knowledge, between one person and the next, is a smaller number than the differences in our DNA

The world needs more people like yourself.

  • Sometimes there are people that are actually like this, then there are people that try to be like this, and by trying to be that way, you demonstrate that you aren't natrually like that. Perhaps you are making it obvious that you want to be seen as the deep thinker that you make stupid philosophy, then people think "Really, it got boring five minutes ago". I know I have seen a few people like that.

Either way, if you are like this, I wouldn't see it as a bad thing or a good thing.
