The good thing about talking to your possessions: they can't get mad at you or talk back. You can say whatever the hell you want and your friend won't get mad.
Bad things: if you really need some comfort, talking to an object isn't the answer. Unless its a stuffed animal or something, cuz then you can make a voice come out of it. Is there a face on alfred? If so, get the app Yakit Kids for iPad/iPhone and take a picture of Alfred. Then you can make him say what ever you want according to the situation.
