Is it normal that i take my pads apart and smell them?

So, this might sound pretty disgusting, but before I change my dirty pads I have to take the entire pad apart and smell it. The bacteria gives period a sort of cheesy smell, and like it. It's not that I don't think it smells disgusting, I just like it for some reason. It is actually pretty fascinating to take the pad apart because there are all of these weird black spots on the cotton. Please tell me i'm not the only one who does this...

    Have tried spreading it on crackers?
    I can see it now...Velveeta Pad Cheese on a Ritz Cracker. Great for tailgate parties and casual get togethers.
