I guess I forgot to mention that I have been diagnosed with ADHD. Does anyone know of any alternative drugs? My doctor suggested a new drug called Vivance, but I don't want to change meds during finals.
Vyvance is the new drug for shire. it lasts longer and has a much better delivery than adderall ( for me) it has a better "kick" "punch" to it. It is made to work with your stomach digestive fluids only, so it can't be abused by smoking, inhaling,snorting. The bigger issue is getting the dosing down. Meaning if you have been on 100mg of adderall ( which is MORE COMMON than you may know) Yes , it has been printed that max dosing of 60mg but as the Dr are finding that upping the dosing for adults has given a better result. Infact this goes true the more studies given. I am on a high dose as well.Vyvance is very high in cost. For me I needed the 70mg x 4 day.to even come close to the adderall level. roughly 30mg adderall = 70mg vyvance << now , vyvance does NOT come in the instant release, time release only.You can get a free month coupon from your Dr. Do it. try it. Ask your dr. for a script of adderall just in case you find the vyvance isn't what you had hoped. good luck , D
