My bf is normally a great guy, but when he gets depressed he gets drunk and does mean things like abuse his dog or kids...But he never touches me and I still love him and dont really stop him when he does those things... Thoughts?
OMG that's awful! No it's not normal to still like him at all. You need to get out of there and take the dog and kids, he doesn't deserve them.
He prob didn't abuse the kids or dog at first.
When he does it to you then your next question will be "will he do it again? he has only done it to me once) He is showing you what he is like and you are accepting it. All the time you accept it he will keep doing it and pushing the bounderies until he finds where the bounderie are.
Its un fair on him, the children, the dogs and on you to allow this to continue.
Just because you love someone doesn't mean you should stay with them. Please get the kids and dog to safety, and then get him help. It isn't normal that he does this! If he were to really hurt someone, and yes, it could be YOU, he would be in jail or prison for a very long time. If you really love him, please get him some help!
Anyone who would hit their own kids or pets could easily turn on anyone, especially when they're drunk. Please don't just shrug this off! Take our advice! Get the kids and dog to safety and get him help!
What is wrong with you? How can you watch this guy abuse children? They will live with this their entire lives. Call Children's Services and get those children some help!!!
He sounds repulsive. You should feel ashamed for letting the abuse continue. Listen to you "he doesn't touch me". Fuck that, he's abusing his kids, the fact that he doesn't do it to you is nothing to be proud of. He is not a good guy, get out now before you do something stupid ie: marry him
