Don't be shy, man. Be polite, but very assertive. I used to interview new kids at my previous work place, and regardless of age -a good communication skills and confidence were definitely a big plus when I had to call people back.
If you're not really a "people" kinda person, try to aquire a craft or skill -like construction and etc. where nobody cares how you look or how you talk and people value you for your trade.
Thanks for the advice, I know I need to aquire some kind of skill. I'm decent on the computer, I'm hoping that may help me become an entry level secretary somewhere or something like that.
it's still a form of a frontal desk job, so you'll need to address the customers. People skills will be needed there. it's something you just have to act, if it's not natural. I've spent in customer service many years and hated every minute of it -I'm introvertive to the point of anti-social. But i just thought about it as .. an actor who acts a character, and it worked for a while.
Is it normal that I STILL don't have a job?
