Work for free. Just pick the place and start sweeping the floor. When they say "wtf" just say you want to work there. If they tell you to leave come back in an hour and start weeding the garden, washing the windows, emptying the rubbish bins. Rock up at 11:45 and say hey guys I'm getting lunch, you want anything from the shop? If after a week they don't hire you, my advice is rubbish.
Is it normal that I STILL don't have a job?

Hello! You've been quiet.
Actually I am offering my services for free shortly to gain experience in high voltage electrical switching.
With any luck he will pay me and I will subcontract to him in the future.
