Every case is different, man. I started drinking and smoking around 7th grade.. which makes it 13. Started doing drugs a few years later. I'm an athlete now, and yes i had problems and i had to stop everything and start living clean.
So when you start is not a problem, when you quit is.
Yes, I agree. I can personally attest to the notion that quitting is much harder than starting. It sounds like we both started drinking at around the same age. I am glad you had the willpower to stop.

You can do it too, man. One day you just wake up and hate the way you are and if you have people to support you through it's gonna alright! :)
