I was never really a big underage drinker, surprisingly!! I'd say I drank regularly, but not often, like once-twice a month from about 16-21. There were periods in there where I'd binge and drink every day for a week straight or so. Drinking was never a big deal for me.
I started working in bars around the age of 22 and would drink every day at work almost, but if I didn't work that day I wouldn't drink.
Now I go through periods of drinking every day for months straight, and then not drinking at all for even more months, as if I couldn't even stomach the thought.
I have a strange relationship with alcohol, sometimes it seems vital and sometimes it disgusts me. Alcohol has only caused petty problems for me, and that was in the past when I'd be in public, you know...doing dumb shit....but I never got arrested for anything while drunk. I've gotten DUI's but not for alcohol. Drugs have caused me a few bigger problems, but nothing I couldn't get over. I never got too far gone!! Amazingly....I was really, really lucky considering all the shit I had been involved in with drugs.
