A side effect of this is a lowering of blood pressure. Lowered blood pressure makes you drowsy. The heat also relaxes muscles, which your brain interprets as tiredness. Additionally if you grew up taking a hot bath right before bedtime you may have been conditioned to want to sleep right after bathing. So yes it is normal to be tired after getting out of a hot shower. It's a great way to relax.
