Is it normal that i seriously want my stepdad gone

I don't like him, and not for my sake. He's a self centered ass hole and he only cares about himself and his computer. He treats us all like shit including my mom and she's still like "oh but
I live him." for me my sister and my brother, get rid of him mom -__- is it normal to feel this way about him?

You pretty much just described my mom's boyfriend. When he first moved in, my parents had just gotten divorced, he didn't have a job, and all he did was play World of Warcraft on the computer. He gave his opinion about everything, and if I or my brother tried to say something opposite my mom would just say "your opinion isn't wanted". I was 14 at the time and my brother was 10, so naturally I hated him more, and the arguments between him and I eventually got so out of hand that my mom kicked me out of the house and sent me to live with my dad, a decision that she regrets to this day.

The bottom line: love makes people stupid, and I cannot stress this point enough. No matter what age you are, in the beginning of a new relationship, people are blind to the negative qualities of the person they're in the relationship with. It took my mom a few years before she really started getting into arguments with him about how he did nothing to help out and stuff like that, and in that time I moved back with them because there was less tension between him and I now that my mom was sticking up for us a little bit.

Now we have a pretty good relationship. We've come to terms with the fact that we have two totally different personalities and that we are both stubborn, never wanting to see each other's point of view. He now has a pretty decent job and can help out with bills. He tells me "good job" all the time and that he's proud of me. It took a few years (I'm now 21) but everything turned out pretty well. I'm sure it'll be fine for you too.
