Is it normal that i seem to cause havoc wherever i go?

As the question says, I tend to cause certain amounts of havoc wherever I go, especially on the internet. I don't believe I am a disagreeable person and I am capable of accepting and thinking over another person's point of view or opinion but it seems that I just manage to rile people up sometimes. And I never really intend to, I don't have to be even speaking to them to cause them to take aggrievance at me.

I'm not that great socially but I like to have my opinions, my right to them and my right to air them as I wish. Of course, I think before speaking but still I seem to give off a wrong impression or something. I've been accused of being snobbish before or believing myself to be better than others while the complete opposite is true. So is it normal?

Is It Normal?

  • maybe you are who you are and the best you can do is learn to debate...like me, wherever i go, people usually lose against me, and they think like i think...i've mind fucked lots of people.... it sounds bad but if somebody is dumb enought subdue to someones debating in one debate then they don't deserve an opinion on the topic.... try it.... it does work if you can do it in a way where you don't piss people off like me.

  • I hope you don't mind me saying this but my mother is like this.

However, she is a rotten negative bitch who is cantankerous and automatically takes an opposite view to whoever is speaking. She never learned to keep her mouth shut when her comments have no value or add nothing to the conversation. Sometimes she just needs to keep her opinions to herself - as they expose her as bitter and rotten to the general population, instead of just family.

I assume you are not like this - but it's the only experience I have of someone who causes havoc and is not liked.

    • Oh, I don't mind you saying that, my granny used to be really mean as well like that. Even now she'll disagree, even if she's completely wrong.

But you are right, I'm not like that, I can take another persons opinion and I can ponder about it rather than just being completely against it. Of course, I might not agree the whole time but I'm not nasty about it. I guess maybe because I'm determined to believe what I believe, people don't like it. *shrugs*

  • *accidents even.

  • Lucille Ball was like this, not just her on-screen character, but in real life.
The University Medical Center Groningen in The Netherlands found that accident-prone people actually exist. In fact one out of every 29 people has a 50 per cent or higher chance of having an accident than the rest of us.
I have been unable to find a Medical Term for this condition, if anyone knows, please post it here.

    • Well it's not really physical acceidents I meant, it was more that people disagree and sometimes really don't like me, even if I haven't talked to them.

Like, my opinions somehow managed to divide people or just mess things up.

      • Although your 'havoc' might not be physical, these are manifestations of the same things, usually, but not always caused by nervous anxiety.

        • Really? So it might be related to my anxiety problems after all. I had a feeling it probably was since I seem to be "re-learning" how to act socially. Thanks for your help though :)
