Is it normal that i see flashes of light when i close my eyes?

If I stare at a light source, when I close my eyes, I see flashes of light.
Well, I never thought too much of it, because it didn't and doesn't affect me in any way. It goes away after like 1-2 minutes. I'm just curious, is it only me? Do others experience it? Should I see a doctor?

    a doctor would treat the disease, im sure of it. they have specialists for it. and when he is done with you he had you off to another.
