Is it normal that I see country music as the only good genre?

  • I honestly don't understand why anyone abuses children. I don't understand people who molest, rape, or sexually assault anyone... I really don't!

I've probably been very fortunate in my life that I was never abused like that by anyone in my youth. I have been sexually harassed in the workplace on numerous occasions, and have pretty much always went to my supervisor, and or human resources. I do, however, recall two part-time jobs where I didn't just quit, but I stopped showing up for work entirely. I don't generally think about those jobs, because one was in fast food, and one was at a local restaurant. I've never really liked those sort of jobs anyway.

People in positions of power in organized religion aren't the only ones who molest children, sexually harass, and otherwise take advantage of vulnerable people. These awful things take place at thehands of educators, coaches, medical professionals, the relatives, family friends and neighbors of victims/survivors. Honestly if it were up to me all sex offenders who commit such offenses would be in jail where they belong to put it as nicely as I can.

I never said that I think it's simple for children to go directly to the police whenever these things happen. I think that the parents have a responsibility to trust their children, and report abuse to law enforcement!

    • You wrote that you didn't understand why people to to church authorities rather than simply reporting to the police. That's what I was responding to because it seemed crass and lacking empathy with victim/survivors and total ignorance of the fact that reporting to the police doesn't necessarily go anywhere.
