I have very bad dandruff and sometimes will end up picking dead skin out of my scalp. If your scalp is itching that bad your case might be more sever or you have something worse.
I would say consult a doctor if the itching continues. You might also have contracted lice. There is a mix of Olive oil, and apple cider and eggs which might help. It sounds disgusting but its a home remedy.
