Is it normal that I say one thing, but deep down I feel differently?

  • You may just be indecisive. I'm a bit like that myself. I'll say something and then the next moment wonder what on earth I was thinking to say such a nonsensical comment.

I think this is what it is:

We are deciding who we are every moment and every second of the day. What? You think our character was born the same day we were? No, it is a little bit more complicated than that.

We are what we eat, say, think, speak and do. But our choices in the end are what define us.

What I have tried to do, is be perfectly honest. Don't be rude or unkind but honest. If I say something and find I don't believe it ten seconds later when I am actually thinking about what I said, I will clarify it.

Also, be decisive. Don't let your anxieties or insecurities block you from being an independent and decisive individual.

I am going to give you two instructions that I follow just in case you're interested: Think about your options thoroughly and then just go with what feels right. Make your bed and lie in it. Don't be afraid of making choices or telling your friend you accidentally lied about yourself and that you feel the exact opposite.

Mostly, just be open with people. That's what they want.
