Is it normal that i save up?

Everytime I goes out with friends to town, they will always label me as cheapo. I getting tired of being labeled as that. Annoying as hell. They can't differentiate between cheapo and frugal. I trying to save money so hard and they are calling me cheapo. How do I stop them from calling me cheapo?!

They always say I'm not willing to spend on things. But how do they expect me to spend on things I don't like. And when I spend, they say the things I buy are not worth the value. -.- what should I do? Change friends?

    Who cares what they think?

    Save up and let them squander. In the end you will have much more than they ever will.

    Who cares if they call you cheapo. You and I both know that in the long run, you will be in a better situation than them. Then you can call them broke asses!

    They should be ashamed to be labelled as your friends. As if you have to be like them. Save up. Why not? It is not as if we all have money to throw around.

    Either ignore them or get new friends. There's nothing wrong with being frugal, it always pays off.

    I suggest that you just stop hanging out with them. I have this friend who insists on spending money whenever we hang out. I don't usually have cash on me but when I do I don't feel like doing things with him. I barely hang out with the guy and my friends agree that he really doesn't know the value of a dollar.
