Is it normal that i rub my nose with my hands when i get excited?

I have this nasty habit of rubbing either side of my nose with the back of my hands when I get excited. It's rather embarrassing in public, so I suppress it most of the time. I do it when nobody else is looking because I get a pleasurable reaction when I do it. It started when I was a kid and it hasn't stopped. Is this normal?
