Is it normal that i rub my balls sack then smell my fingers?

Around my mid teens when I started growing in my mustache my ball sack would itch then my mustache would itch. I noticed that my fingers would smell different each time I scratched my mustache. At first I didn't give it any thought, but as time went on the smells would get weirder and weirder. I first tried rubbing my fingers on my facial hair to see if that was the cause. Once I realized that wasn't it I then rubbed my ball sack and smelled my fingers. Now I rub my ball sack at least once a day to see what it smells like at that point in the day. Is that normal?
