I think personally this is very normal, I say this because I to have a "comfort" that I enjoy. I love picking the corner of my feather pillow and making it grubby and smelly, sounds strange to some people ( not that I have told many). We have picked up this comfort at some point , don't know why but hey ho. I like my comfort as it helps me relax and sleep. Can you explain the feeling you get when you feel the material?. Mine is a sleepy feeling, it takes my mind off stress and gives me a buzz.
