Is it normal that I refuse to watch films rated 18?

  • Ok so my life is fucked and I might as well give up? I can't change my childhood.
And I would have thought being squeamish is a perfectly normal reaction. It should be disturbing to see someone with their insides hanging out. It's a warning that there's danger nearby, a natural human instinct. Surely?

    • What about sex? It's a natural human instinct that when there's sex nearby, you should be turned on. Surely?

      • I'm not saying I'm not.... I just don't acknowledge it because I don't want to. I WANT to be innocent.
That doesn't explain the squeamish thing though.

        • Read William Blake, particularly The Lamb and The Tyger. You may understand now, you may understand years down the line. You're lucky that you have retained your innocence but be warned.. that can make it even harder when you finally lose it, and it would take a miracle or a mental handicap to retain your innocence through the entirety of your adult life. :/ Sad to say, but thats the world we live in.

        • THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. that's BAD. You SHOULDN'T not acknowledge your sexuality. That's BAD.

          • Just to clarify, I'm not trying to be asexual. I just don't want to watch other people having sex.
And I don't see how it's bad. I don't want children. It isn't upsetting me in any way, if anything is it's that everyone else all seem sluttier to me than they should be. I'm perfectly happy with myself. I feel really healthy and pure and happy. When I'm on my own anyway.

            • It's funny because you're acknowledging that you're different from everyone else, yet you seem to hate to be called weird.

              • Well when I say everyone else I mean that's just my perception of the world when I'm being pessimistic. I think there must be other people like me.

              • I thought about this last night and I can't believe I let you walk all over me. Don't you dare tell me I was brought up wrong, that my parents didn't do their job properly and I can never have children because I'll ruin their lives. Don't you dare start shouting at me for having morals and beliefs that are different to yours and don't you fucking dare call me a liar. So you can go live in your 'adult' world and surround yourself with whores and thugs if you want, but don't you go telling other people their lives are worthless just because you don't share their opinions. Just because you're on the internet and protected by an anonymous screenname doesn't mean you can be a bastard. Morals still apply.
