Is it normal that I really want to move to Germany?

  • Germany is a fantastic country. An American friend of mine has her parents and brother visiting and I met them last night. They'd come via Germany for the same reason as you (heritage) and they'd had a whale of a time.

They also kept shaking my hand because I don't use any transport with an engine. I don't know if it's because they were amazed because they were American or if they were being nice because they were American. Probably both.

Either way, Germany is worth a visit. But if you want to live and work there, it'd be tricky as a non-EU citizen.

    • If you don't use anything with an engine, does that mean you swam the Channel?

        • I asked the office balloon nerd if the wind would allow you to go from Manchester to Germany, and the geek said,"ya, that's doable."

          Scary.

I would have preferred the image of you running through the Chunnel dodging the security forces and occasional train.

      • Strudel.

        Belgian Waffles are Flemi-Walloonish.

        Still yummy though.
