Even though I do not agree with most of his policies? It's weird. I was disappointed when he didn't win in 2008. He just seems so cool to me for some reason even though his stance on issues I mostly disagree with. I have a similar thing about Howard Dean and Joe Biden. They seem cool to me for some reason.
He's not a bad guy. He really cleaned up New York by taking care of the small things.
Serious question for Americans: How come the NYC mayoralty is so prominent world-wide as opposed to, say, the capital or LA?
I couldn't even tell you the mayor of my own city but London's Lord Mayor has a similar prestige. That's kind of explainable, though, because it's the capital city.

Well NY is a major metropolitan city and I assume when most people think about the US the first city that pops into mind is NYC. Other than that I am not really sure but if we were speaking about LA, Mayor Villaraigosa has many meetings with a lot of different heads of states in latin america due to busines and the fact that there is pretty big latino community in Los Angeles.
