Not like in a sexual way. I'm an 18 guy and I really fall in love with kids. They kind of become like little brothers or sisters to me, and I feel like I have to care of them, make sure they're alright. Like I'm really protective, and I don't want them getting hurt. Is it normal for me to be so "nurturing" especially for people that aren't related to me?
It may not be "normal" by the standards of what a lot of males are like, but it isn't a bad thing by any means. I personally know of some very caring, nurturing guys. Be careful of putting yourself in situations where you can be falsely accused of molestation (it's a sad reality that males are much more likely to be accused of this), but keep being who you are. It will make you a good father one day.
I wouldn't say normal but a good quality. To me it sounds like you are a protector, like the boy from the Blind Side. You want to protect those that are innocent. You want to care for those who need protection from the corruption from society. You want to be the Catcher in the Rye.
Sorry, but you should cover that up. Incase you haven't noticed, in today's society if you're a male that loves children (not in the sexual way) people don't trust you and would think you to be a pedophile, where as when a woman is doing it, she's just seenas a mother figure.
I do think there might be some of that, and when I started working with youth, that was always my assumption of how people perceive adults in close proximity to children. After a decade of coaching and Scout leadership, I've found that not to be the case in reality. Maybe because the children I work with are all my own childrens' friends.
If everyone really did think this way, there would be no youth oranizations, and kids would never stay over at each others homes.
I hate weird parents, I've got bad vibes just talking to them and laughing so from now on I am like get that thing the fuck away from me, I blame the media with it's constant fear about pedofiles it's a small part of the population nobody want to fuck your ugly child ^_^
