Is it normal that i really believe the government is evil

I really think that the government is evil and they don't care about us and all they care about is money, cheap ways to make or do things and themselves and they have all these conspiracies and lie to us and cover up and hide a lot if things. I also think they might do it on purpose or some things at least to affect us in a bad way or hurt us some how.

Is It Normal?

  • There should be a gum flavor called govern-mint. Then we could just chew the shit out of 'em whenever we wanted.

  • I agree with you 100%. The government (the American one at least) is rotten to the core, and so are most corporations such as those running the food industry and Big Pharma. We need a revolution to overthrow these maggots and get some sensible people in power!

  • That is normal for someone who understands how the government works. They do lie, cheat, kill, and cover up many things. Their interests lie with corporations, not with the well-beings of citizens. I can't speak for every politician, because perhaps there are a couple of scrupulous ones hidden among the selfish garbage, but the ones in power are what I would call evil. I'm speaking as an American, though. I'm not sure how your country's government compares.

  • It's definitely normal although I am not totally on board with the concept.

The government has a definite agenda. Whether or not that agenda is evil is very subjective. I have spoken to people who believe that Obama is attempting to plunge the US into socialism. Some believe that socialism is anti-American, others believe that Socialism is the greatest thing since the gasoline engine. As I said, it's a matter of perspective.

All I can tell you is...
    Vote people, not party.

Politicians will say anything to get elected and to court the favor of their target audience. Understand this before you vote. The best way to judge a politician is by his or her track record.

Bear in mind that *everyone* has an agenda. Even if the source is a group of people whose agenda you agree with. Just because you agree with them, doesn't mean that they will tell you the truth 100% of the time. People bend the truth to fit their agenda. The other day, I went on Facebook and on a page I liked called "Being Liberal", there was a picture condemning a republican congressman for banning nipple-slips, stating that he wasn't concerned for important issues, such as the child poverty rate. The picture showed a woman holding onto her hungry and bruised child to get the emotional appeal. I did my research and looked at the law itself - it was a law that protected breastfeeding mothers feeding in public as not indecent exposure and clarified indecent exposure laws regarding breast exposure in public in order to better the legal atmosphere for breastfeeding mothers in public. Hence... Bending the truth.

The government is by the people and for the people. So when you're talking about the government, remember that it was the people who made it possible and the people who can change it, given the determination.

  • It's called being a conspiracy theorist, I believe.
Pretty normal in this day and age.

  • absolutely. I know from what I have read on the internet and what I have observed in the world around me that the government is completely evil. In fact, I believe that the whole idea that there is a "government" is a fraud. In fact, secret organizations and corporations control everything, executed the attacks on the twin towers, and run everything right down to your life. They are all in on it, trust me. They want to use all of us for their own gain. In the future we will all be implanted with RFID chips and made their slaves. Then, one day, machines will be created to make us useless and we will all be destroyed via nuclear holocaust by the government. That is if we do nothing. Hopefully people will open their eyes and ears and stop being sheep to this sinister illuminati system. I believe I am doing everyone a service by posting this on here, to let everyone know what is really happening in this world. Some may say I sound like a nutcase. however, I think you would be nuts to not wake up to this

  • If conspiracies exist, wouldn't it be the illuminati that creates those?

  • We pay taxes what kind of sick individuals take money off of honest working citizens and not penalise the rich and people who exploit these tax loop holes.

  • There's a sweet spot between trust, scepticism and paranoia. It's a good idea to try and find it.

Every government is made up of people, and there will always be those who are ethically and morally corrupt. There are also those who are ethically and morally upstanding but have to put aside their personal beliefs for what is perceived to be 'the greater good'. There are those who get into politics for the wrong reasons, and those who get into politics for the right reasons.

It's good to question, challenge, debate and reflect! However, be careful not to fall into the trap of seeing all governments as inherently bad. It's easy to imagine them as some powerful faceless octopus motivated by greed and power, but you should remind yourself that there needs to be a pilot flying the plane (in fact it's more accurate to say many pilots flying many planes). Remember that governments consist of a multitude of separate branches and organisations, themselves made up of people like us.

We pay these people through taxes to keep society afloat, and the majority are hard-working individuals doing their best behind the scenes. It's up to us as both the benefactor and vicarious employer of these individuals to both hold accountable those who fail, and to celebrate those who succeed - especially those who excel.

  • Democracy is overrated. Most voters are stupid so if we let them decide the country would go to shit. Better to manipulate the masses and let a handful rule.
