Is it normal that i prefer to have friends that are older than me

yeah, anybody can be friends if they share common interests, or are on the same level. age doesn't really matter. i have friends that are either older or younger.

Were u an only child? This usually happens to ppl who r b/c they grow up mainly with adults...but even if u rnt its still normal...

I think your more mature than people of your age.

I've always been like that, so maybe it's not my place to answer, but I have found that many people my age are not or don't act as maturely as I do - that's what always prompted me.

i (age 20) also tend to become friends more easily with people older than me.

i think it's because i feel like older people have some sort of authority, and i guess i'm a bit of a pushover and a baby, so it feels more comfortable.

That said, i still have a lot of friends my age and younger as well.

Are you an only child? Or do you have older siblings? That could also maybe be reasons why... since i'm the only, i often had to hang out with kids much older, or people between me and my parents' age.
