My new years resolution. In recent years I've tried to be against the idea of a once-a-year type of resolution. I have several things I want to improve on though.
-Get a good mountain bike and start exercising on a regular basis again.
-Socialize more. Develop new relationships with people and lasting friendships.
-Improve my work ethic. Learn to be better at my job and KNOW that I have done the absolute best that I can everyday. If my best isn't good enough, then so be it.
-Improve myself mentally and spiritually. Learn to be a happier person in general, and help others to be happy too if I can.
-Eat healthier. Expand my repertoire [<--freaking hard word to spell right there...] of foods that I know and like to cook.
-Start playing music regularly again.
That's just a few, there are several other things I would like to improve as well.
^I am totally using that for my profile. What is your new year's resolution(s)?
The bachelor pad is excellent, thanks for inquiring. It holds all of my boxes of junk that I have run out of motivation to unpack. I have two closets and a nice kitchen and a nice bathroom as well and a sizable living room and bedroom. I was quite lucky to find it as soon as I did, and the location is pretty good too. I still need a kitchen table and a good book shelf and a way to store my spices for cooking in a way that I am satisfied with.
Downsides include parking, and an ever-increasing tendency to turn into a social recluse. I'm only partially joking about the latter.
I gotta say I thought you already were healthy and you seem like an outgoing person. Ya I think everybody wants to lose weight, ha. What instrument do you play? I use to play guitar but that was when I was trying to be cool. Cooking though is awesome, I wish I was a good cook to.
I gotta say the bachelor pad sounds awesome. Why haven't you had a party to sort of kick it off, I mean really it sounds like a pretty awesome place to live and if its in a good neighborhood then that sounds pretty awesome.
My New Year Resolution
- Get my Drivers License (thinking of taking the test in February)
- Once I have said license ask Michelle (this girl I like) out on a date
- Go to Prom with said Michelle.
I would include lose weight and exercise but I already run around 4-6 miles a day and I eat very unhealthily which I doubt will change. ha. I gotta say though it sounds like you're living the dream.
Oh, I'm not extremely unhealthy/fat or anything. I just want to change my eating style from 'not very unhealthy' to 'EXTREMIST HEALTH NUT!' Lol. I enjoy the outdoors, but I haven't been very outgoing lately. Especially since it's been kind of cold and my laziness factor has went up by at least 10 being on vacation and all. I just want to become more fit, and I know having healthier diets is a big part of that.
I want to say that I play guitar, but the truth is that I haven't played it regularly for some time now, and I am WAY out of practice. A younger version of me would be downright ashamed at the neglect that I've allowed myself in the area of my musical growth as a person. By the way, I think that was one of the similarities that we share from before (playing guitar).
Truthfully, I don't know enough people to have a good party. A person I was starting to think was pretty cool has practically abandoned me for reasons unbeknownst to me. Besides them, I have about one other person who I'm friends with at the moment. Sad, right? I'll get past this point in my life though. I am really enjoying my new place despite it all, and I know that I am a very fortunate person to even be able to have a place like this.
Those are excellent resolutions if I do say so myself :) I remember when I still had to get my drivers license. For me, due to circumstantial restrictions and limitations, it was a bitch. But I love being able to drive though. It is a luxury I'll not soon take for granted. Driving, on the other hand, I tend to hate for various reasons.
Good luck with your lady interest Michelle, I hope she turns out to be a keeper :)
If I tried running that far I'd probably faint. I have never been good at running... Riding a bicycle though, I could do that all day. Thanks man, yeah life treats me pretty good when it's not punching me in the face repeatedly with a pair of brass knuckles. :P I exaggerate of course, but sometimes it feels like it.
Well, I'm sure that you'll make good friends eventually. I practically stopped playing guitar, like I said I only took it up to feel cool. Ya I love driving so far. And trust me, Michelle is an amazing girl. I hope you get in shape soon, cycling is a pretty good way to stay in shape.
Is it normal that I prefer sleeping on..
