Is it normal that i pray to god when i want something

I always pray to god when I REALLY want something and he almost always gives it to me, but alot of the times he gives it to me and then when I ask for something else later that day it might not happen becuz I already ask so when I don't have my hopes up the sec time he gives it to me if I do have them up he usualy doesn't, probaly cuz I kinda expect him to give it to me, but anyways, is this normal!?

    Yeah, if your faith is strong enough, God will provide. Assuming we're both talking about the Christian God.
